The Amazing LA Colors Matte Eyeshadow Quints

LA Colors Matte Eyeshadows

In short, I loved these.  They were worth every penny and probably more.  I believe I paid $2.50 for these at Dollar General, but I'm not sure.  They are listed at $3.00 on the website.  I picked up two of these quints.  I have Black Lace and Blue Denim.

Both of these are beautiful and perform really well.  I was actually greatly surprised at how excellently these performed.  All the colors were absolutely beautiful and unique.  Looking at the blue palette, I thought three of the colors looked more grayscale.  I really thought some of these colors would overlap because of that, but that isn't the case.  These are five shades of blue and five shades of gray.

The shadows are soft and easy to use and blend.  I actually like these more than some higher end mattes that I've tried.  I might actually like these more than the Kat Von D matte eyeshadow formula (and that's saying a lot).  The exception to this is the middle shade in the blue palette and the fourth shade (the second T) in the Black Lace palette.  These two shadows were a lot harder than their softer counterparts.  However, once you get past the surface these two shadows did become a lot softer.  These two shades weren't quite as soft as the others, but they are still really nice.

Overall, all of these shades did a really good job and I still highly recommend these palettes.  Like I said earlier, they are well worth the price you pay for them.

This might sound strange, but I wish there was more variety in this palette.  I like the shades.  I've actually created several different looks with just five colors, but some of these shades are really similar.  The second and third shades (the A and first T) are really similar.  I feel like the last two shades (the second T and E) look basically the same when applied.  I wish the Second T was slightly lighter while the E shade looked more like the Second T.  I think that would've created a better ombre.  And/or perhaps the middle shade could've been just a smidgen darker.  Remember that you can easily blend these shades together, which I have actually done.

Twice I swatched these shades on my hand and took pictures.  Twice they came out incredibly blurry. I'm sorry about that.  These shades are really pretty.  The first and middle shades are beautiful gray-blue shades.  The middle shade is a gorgeous baby blue.  The forth shade is a beautiful sky blue and the final shade is a navy.  I love blue eyeshadows and I love being able to play with these some more.

Again, sorry it's so blurry.
