Top 5 Pink Maybelline Lipsticks

I had a hard time picking only five.  Maybelline is my favorite formula of lipsticks and I had a lot to choose from.  I ultimately decided to go with 5 that I use the most, each of these come from a different Maybelline collection.  To be honest, I didn’t really
do that on purpose.  I put these in order from my least used to my most used which happens to overlap with my newest to oldest.

Number 5:  Pink Charge
Collection:  Maybelline Liquid Matte Vivid
This is a beautiful bright pink.  I’m not sure I would describe this color as matte but I find the formula to be a hydrating.

Number 4:  Pink Sand
Collection:  Maybelline Pinks (Dark Pink Packaging)
This was a high school favorite.  It gives you a sheer shimmer, a bit of color.  I think this color makes your lips look so healthy and beautiful.  However, it hasn’t gotten as much love these days as it did once upon a time and so I put it lower on the list.

Number 3:  Blushing Pout
Collection:  Maybelline Mattes, Newer Collection (Dark Purple Packaging)
Is this shade really pink?  I don’t know.  It almost seems to change color.  Sometimes it looks more nude, sometimes more pink, and sometimes it even looks a little purple.  I love it.  I actually have three pink mattes that I wear often but I chose this one because I thought it was more distinctive and more universally flattering.

Fun fact, many know that Maybelline released two matte lipstick collections.  Not everyone knows that the older collection is called the Creamy Matte Collection while the new collection is called the Creamy Mattes Collection.  That ‘s’ makes all the difference.

Number 2:  Pink Pop
Originally:  Maybelline Vivids (Orange Packaging)
Now Part of:  Maybelline Pinks (Dark Pink Packaging)
This is a fun and beautiful color.  It’s a medium blue-based pink and quite unique.  I usually mix it with NYC’s Chiffon to create a beautiful pastel pink.  This shade has been moved to the pinks collection and I believe the Vivids have been discontinued.

Number 1:  Petal Pink
Collection:  Petal Rebels  (Pastel Purple-Pink Packaging)
I love this collection and own almost all of the lipsticks from this collection.  This is the pastel pink.  This lipstick reminds me a lot of the Saint Germain lipstick from Mac.  It is absolutely beautiful and my most worn/most loved shade.  Everyone needs this in their collection.

Pink N Chic and Pink Sugar are two Creamy Mattes that get a lot of love from me.  I feel like they both better suit pale skin tones and Pink Sugar can tend to sink into the lines of your lips.

Sugar Chic is the newest to my collection and I’ve only worn it a couple of times.  It reminds me a lot of Mac’s Long Legged and Fabulous.  Both of the shades can tend to sink into the lines.  They aren’t the best of their respected companies.
