| Maybelline SuperStay Full Coverage 16H Powder Foundation |
I was at Walmart when I spotted the Maybelline SuperStay Full Coverage 16H Foundation. Of course, I had to take it home with me. I'm never someone too bypass something from Maybelline. And I have been in love with this powder foundation since I first tried it.
I used the old Maybelline Dream foundation until Maybelline replaced it with the new Maybelline Dream Wonder Powder. The new Dream powder foundation has better coverage, but the older powders had a better shade range. The new Dream powder just didn't have a shade for me. The newer SuperStay foundation is by far my favorite powder foundation of the three.
The SuperStay has amazing coverage and has a wonderful matte finish. The new powder has a shade light enough for my skin tone and I love the way it looks on the skin. I highly recommend this powder for anyone who likes a good powder foundation. The biggest drawback of this foundation is that it can go on a bit too heavy and look extremely thick.

I've also tried this powder as a setting powder for liquid foundations. With the thickness of this powder, it can look a bit too much when you put it over something else. It's a good idea not to go in too heavy handed with this product, but I think it works well setting makeup. I've used this over great liquids and seen it do a great job. I've also used this over terrible liquids and seen it not do so well. As a setting powder, it's only as good as what you're working with and I think that's very normal. As a plus, I feel like using this as a setting powder does give you a little extra coverage if that's what you're looking for.
Maybelline makes some pretty steep claims with this product. The label makes claims like full coverage and 16 hour wear times. I don't know how I feel about these claims.
The coverage on this is fantastic, probably the best I've ever seen in a powder, but I'm not really sure you can say it is full coverage. Still the coverage is great and probably the sole reason I'm so in love with this product. The coverage is also the reason I'm giving this such a high recommendation.
As for the 16 hour wear time, I'm pretty sure that means up too 16 hours. I don't know if I'm willing to believe that this product is going to last that long. The 24 hour stick foundation from Maybelline does a fantastic job of staying put, no matter what. So if you're looking for something with a long wear time, that's what I recommend. This powder works like basically every other powder I've ever used. I haven't really seen any SuperStaying powers with this, or any other, powder.
In summary, I really like this product. This is great on it's own or if you think your setting powder needs to give your liquid foundation a little boost. This product has single handedly made me fall in love with powder foundation all over again. I really did think I was done with powder foundations forever until this came along.
